Teacher Retirement Letter

Teacher retirement letter is a formal letter written by a teacher to inform the college administration that he/she is retiring from teaching. Such letter is very formal in nature but it demonstrates all most all the tender gestures, for instance, it expresses the sad feeling of the teacher on his retirement, gratitude to the board and management of the college, appreciation for the colleagues and love for his students.

It covers the tenure of service, date of retirement, future plans and best wishes and thank you note for the entire college and its students.

Subject: Teacher retirement letter

Dear Mr. Brains,

I am writing this letter with heavy heart and mixed emotions as this is to notify you about my retirement. I have no words to express my feelings. It seems unbelievable that I am retiring on 11 March, 2014.

The time has passed like a wind and I have completed fifteen years of my service in St. Augustine College. Mathematics Department is like my second home, my students and colleagues are my family members. I really do not want to leave you all but according to the regulation I have reached my retirement.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the board and management of St. Augustine College for giving me the chance to work in this prestigious college. I have enjoyed my each day of working in this organization. It was a real delight to work with my coworkers and students. Kindly inform me if there is any explicit needful that you would like me to do. Thank you so much for all your support and generosity.

Yours sincerely,

Jenny Kerr
