Interview Decline Letter

An interview decline letter is written when a candidate rejects the interview invitation from a company for some reasons. As it is a declination letter, the writer should be conscious while writing because any kind of miss communication can prove to be harmful for one’s career. The best way to tackle this situation is to present a valid reason from your side so that your letter appears polite before the reader.

Here in the sample presented below, a candidate writes the interview rejection letter to a company to inform them about his declination of the proposal as he is already bonded with a contract of another company.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am glad to receive a final job interview proposal from you, but this letter is to convey my regret for unable to appear in the interview process. I have heard about your company’s reputation in every corner; and whoever gets the chance to be a part of your organization, will be proud to serve on behalf of you. As of now, I have no option instead of declining this proposal because I have already signed a contract with another company; as per its rules, it does not allow me to appear in any kind of interview process.

I would like to thank you for this proposal. I hope you will contact me in the future too.

Sincerely yours,

Christy Jeffers
