In the urgent cases, employees sometime do not have time to inform their superior so they can submit this letter once the situation becomes normal.

This is to convey of my apology for my leave absence from 13 to 19 Oct, 2014.
The reason for this urgent leave is the sudden news of my father’s accident and I needed to go to help my mother in this situation. So, I didn’t serve you the prior notice of my leaving from the work.
Though my father has gone through a successive treatment, but he needed to take care and I had to be there to arrange everything which made him better. My mom alone could not handle all of this. Once the situation became normal, I joined my work.
I informed my superior Mr. William Grande about this and he was in touch with me during my urgency.
