Dear Vinod,

I would like to inform you that from October 1st, 2019 to October 10th, 2019, I will not be present at work as I am undergoing a surgery. In my absence, I request you to please shoulder my responsibilities along with your normal set of duties so that the work at our office doesn’t get affected because of my absence for that long. I am very sure that you will be able to manage all my duties along with yours with utmost commitment and confidence.

I would also request you to please submit the daily progress report of the project to the Mr. Ramakant Sharma, the Project Manager. For any important decision making, please approach Mr. Sharma.

I know it will be quite difficult for you to manage your role and mine simultaneously but I know that you are extremely capable and you did a great job the last time I went on a long leave. I completely trust you with your commitment towards work. I would also like to bring to your notice that the management has agreed to compensate you for the same for which the HR is going to inform you.
