Appointment Letter Format

Employer selects the suitable candidate for the vacant job position and after verbal mutual consent he sends an Offer Letter. This is a formal protocol to make the consent more reliable. Then comes the final step of the joining process which is sending the Appointment Letter. This is also the next step of communication between a company and an employee.

For an employee a Letter of Appointment is an agreement about the given job and position in that company. There are various formats available for such letters. We have come up with the most standard one. Have a look.

Format of Appointment Letter:

We are pleased to offer you employment in (name of the company) as a (designation of the candidate).

We are eager to have you as part of our dynamic workforce. I anticipate your prospective skills as a valuable contribution to our company and clients. You would be appointed as a (designation) and the date of your appointment is (date).

Salary

As (designation), you will be entitled to a monthly initial payment of $ 00,000/- (Dollar…………. only). You will be on a probation period of eight months. Standard performance evaluation will be conducted to review your performance and suitability.

Your salary will be reviewed after a period of 8 months and afterwards every year. You will be entitled to all allowances and benefits whatsoever decided by the management. Your annual Cost to Company would be $ 000000 details of which are mentioned on a separate page enclosed with the letter.

Probation

You would be on probation for eight months. Depending on your performance during the aforementioned period, the probation period is accountable to be extended by another (mention month).

Your job may be terminated during the probation period with a notice of seven days by either party with no given reasons. At the end of the probation period your services would be confirmed and you would be informed in writing on the same.

Place of Work

Your current location would be at (mention the location in which the employee is posted). However, there might be a possibility that you may be transferred/posted in any of the company branch offices or project locations, be it in the country or abroad. The decision will completely be at the discretion of the company.

Leave

As and when you are confirmed as an employee of the company, you would be eligible for the leave as per the rules applicable in the company.
