Work Order Letter Sample

Work order letter is a formal notification addressed to the person who has assigned with a new work or project by his supervisor, boss or human resource department. It is one of the most commonly practiced documents in work place. It formally informs the employee about the responsibility of a new project or the allocation of some other’s project. It ensures the clarity and serves as evidence that a particular service or amount of money has been transferred to a certain person. You can use this format for many purposes with a slight change in content as it can be written for security guard, labor, builder, contractor, interior designer and so on.

It covers all the detail of the project with the responsibility expected with the recipient. It is always written by a senior authority of the organization. It not only officially allocates the project but motivates the assigned to perform well. It is always written in pleasant and sincere tone.

This is to notify that you are assigned as head of Utopia Mall project since the former head of this project, Mr. Edwin Clan has resigned yesterday due to his personal reasons. As you are aware, this project is proposed to start on 2 March, 2014.

I would like to arrange a meeting with you and the team of Utopia Mall project to discuss the details of this project. Therefore, you are requested to report in the H block of our office building on 1 March, 2014 at 11 am.

I would like to mention it clearly that this is the most awaited project of our company. Hence you are required to meet the deadlines and requirements to make it a successful venture. I am quite confident about your work dedication. Wish you all the best.
