- Do not forget to include the current date. Write the date clearly without abbreviation.
- Create a short and snappy subject line by including some relevant fact to let the recipient know beforehand what the letter will be about. Write “Permission Letter for…….” or something similar to it.
- Address it to the appropriate authority. Write down a formal salutation to start the main body of the letter. Write “Dear Mr. / Mrs. / Ms…….” if you know the exact name of the recipient and if in doubt, “To Whom It May Concern” or “Dear Sir or Madame” will work.
